Naveen Jain: IT Entrepreneur and Philanthropist

Naveen Jain, the chief executive officer and one of the co-establishers of Intellius Inc, has exceeded his limits in revolutionizing the face of info-commerce.

There are many ways to describe this highly-respected IT entrepreneur. The constant innovator has turned into an esteemed figure because of his exceptional efforts with his first business called InfoSpace Inc, which functions as a web-based directory content and data supplier. His success made him famous in the mercurial and fiercely-competitive IT industry.

Naveen Jain was able to share his wide knowledge and views by being a keynote speaker in the 2000 Summit 4Mobility by Andrew Seybold. There, he was introduced as an innovator who has combined global technological vision with the ability to link the vision for specific purposes. He delivered a speech about “The Wireless Internet Economy-Developing the Platform for Commerce on Wireless devices.” He also elaborated his ideas on the “Information Operating System.”

An Emerging Entrepreneur of the Year awardee at the 9th Ernst and Young Awards, he as well received recognition as among the top 20 Entrepreneurs of the Year in the digital world, as acknowledged by the Red Herring magazine.

As an entrepreneur, the current Intelius Inc president is a confident and results-oriented individual. Following his establishment of InfoSpace Inc, he instituted another company called Intelius to further enhance the power of information. Formed in January of 2003, the online business was built to provide vital security information for individual consumers and companies. Since its inception, the company, under the headship of its founder, has been a recipient of awards given by the American Business Awards (commonly known as the Stevies) for having the Best New Product and for being the Most Innovative Company.

Aside from doing IT business, Naveen Jain is also known for functioning as a philanthropist. Up to this day, he contributes to various nonprofit groups like Hopelink, the Seattle Children’s Hospital, Child Rights and You (CRY) India, Kindering Center, Pratham, United Way and the Overlake Service League.
