Essential Techniques to Smart Layer Editing
Tuesday, January 17th, 2012You need to use restructuring layers to do all sorts of experimenting and not one pixel will be damaged. There are techniques to try this and they aren’t laborious or hard to learn. Infrequently you can use Photoshop to do some wizardry pixel manipulation but other times you will just wish to make 1 or 2 little changes. What about the instances when you need to make an insignificant change to an image’s colour balance? Perhaps you’ve had occasion to modify a contrast balance to realize a print that’s more pleasing to take a look at. You can do that by learning the best way to gain control over the way in which you adjust the image. Smart layering gives you the capability to do these things. As you perhaps already know, undoing steps isn’t complicated.
You may use restructuring layers to try this and you will be in a position to have quick access to the first file in its untouched state.
Change layers give you the chance to make changes to a single layer without changing any of the pixels on the layer itself. This is such the best way to work because you do not have to worry about changing the image once and for all. When you realize that you need to undo an alteration layer you can simply tug it to the rubbish can that’s found in the Layer palette. When you would like to add an alteration layer swiftly the easiest way to do it is to click the shortcut option that’s found at the foot of the Layers palette. If you use the Lasso Tool when making a variety on your original layer, any alteration layers you design will only affect the chosen area. A mask protects the unselected parts of an image on every new restructuring layer. You can build your image changes effectively and slowly if you blend the effect of multiple correction layers.
Use the thumbnail icons to quickly identify your alteration layers. These thumbnail icons are attached to the correspondent layer and they’re labeled so that you can see which layer applies which effect.
